White Labs Inc. Pure Yeast and Fermentation team members have been active in the American and worldwide craft brewing movements since the 1980s. The company, which has grown to include offices in California and Colorado, provides a wealth of services to not only brewers but also winemakers, distillers and others in the fermentation business. Below is a brief description of numerous company employees.

What is meant by pitchable quantities?
(ie. Do I need a yeast starter?) At White Labs we package our yeast with a concentrated cell count which does not require any additional propagation time. Therefore, our vials can be directly pitched into a five-gallon batch of wort, giving you approximately a 5-15 hour lag time. Our barrel (BBL) system designed for the professional brewers also has the appropriate cell count for their specified sizes.
